Mental Health Clinic / Adler Mental Health Center / Water Survey Research Center
The Water Survey Research Center began its life in 1963, as the Mental Health Clinic, a $1.25M University building designed to house "psychology, speech pathology, audiology and remedial education programs". Later renamed the Adler Mental Health Center, the Clinic primarily focused on children and young adults. [1]
In 1984 the Water Survey outgrew its quarters in the Water Resources Building and moved to the site at 2204 South Griffith Drive, which became the new Water Survey Research Center. The required extensive remodeling, which necessitated a graduated transition of personnel and equipment over a two-year period. [2]
