Doris Kelly Christopher Hall
The groundbreaking of the Doris Kelly Christopher Hall was held on August 9, 2003, [1] and the building is scheduled for completion in spring 2006. [2] Doris Christopher, a 1967 graduate of the University, [3] donated more than $10M for the construction of the hall, which will also house The Pampered Chef Family Resiliency Program. [4] The first floor of the hall will hold a library specializing in family-related topics, as well as conference and classrooms, while faculty offices will take up the second floor. [5] One of the most groundbreaking aspects of the building is a 1,000 square foot model house that will be attached to the center via a glass walkway. Known as the Family Observation Suite, it will serve as a working home for various families, allowing them to be observed conducting day-to-day activities. [6]
