Grounds Department Greenhouse / North Greenhouse / President's Greenhouse
The President's Greenhouse was a massive conservatory on the grounds of the old President's house, [1] built in 1898 at a cost of $5,000. Subsequent additions in 1899 ($500), 1909 ($800) and 1911 ($800) [2] brought the total space of the greenhouse to almost 6,200 square feet. [3]
Located between Burrill Avenue and Wright Street, just north of the Boneyard Creek along Wright Street, [4] the greenhouse stood until 1990, when it was torn down. [5]
