Botany Annex and Greenhouse
The Botany Annex and its accompanying Greenhouse were erected in 1914 at a cost of $22,607.85 [1] and were designed by James White. [2] The Annex building was a two-story structure with classrooms and laboratories supporting the main greenhouse. The Greenhouse was the focus of the facility, a 5,000 square foot "world under glass" [3] that was subdivided into many smaller greenhouse compartments that had individualized temperature and humidity controls to support research in "the fields of plant physiology and pathology".
