Asian American Studies Building and Asian American Cultural Center

The Asian American Cultural Center was dedicated at noon on October 13, 2004 with the promise of "encouraging outreach, collaboration, interaction, service and involvement" of Asian American students on the University campus. The $1.3M building will be attached to the Asian American Studies Building via a one-story conference room. The two-story facility will include a second conference room on its top floor, along with offices and a large group gathering room, with a living room, commercial kitchen, and receptionist on the ground floor. The basement will house another large group gathering room, as well as storage facilities. The building, located at 1210 West Nevada Street, is slated to be completed by Fall 2005. [1]
