CONVEYANCE OF LAND BY MEDICAL CENTER COMMISSION (23) The Medical Center Commission of Illinois has acquired land needed by the University of Illinois for the expansion of the Chicago Professional Colleges Campus. The Commission is prepared to convey this land to the University at a price of $100. Before approving the sale and the execution of the Deed of Conveyance, the Governor referred the matter to the Attorney General of Illinois and the latter requires adoption by the Board of Trustees of a resolution authorizing the purchase. Accordingly, the following resolution is offered. Resolution WHEREAS, the Medical Center Commission of the State of Illinois is the owner of the following described real property and is willing and has offered to sell the same to The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a public corporation, hereinafter termed "University," for the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) ; and WHEREAS the University needs and requires said property for various purposes in connection with the use and expansion of, and for parking facilities for, the Men's Residence Hall and the proposed Nursing School buildings situated, and" to be situated, upon the campus of its Professional Colleges at Chicago; and WHEREAS said price of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) is a fair and reasonable price for, and does not exceed the fair cash market value of, said property; and WHEREAS, University has funds available for the purchase of said property at said price from Medical Center Commission from funds originally appropriated by the Sixty-fifth General Assembly in Senate Bill 596 for the acquisition of land by University for its purposes during the biennium beginning July I, 1949, which were not expended during that biennium and which were re-appropriated to University for said purpose by the Sixty-seventh General Assembly in House Bill 1095 for the biennium beginning July 1, 1951: Now, Therefore, It Is Hereby Resolved, by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois that the following described real property be purchased by it at said price from Medical Center Commission and that said sum be paid from said funds to Medical Center Commission therefor upon the execution and delivery of a good and sufficient deed conveying said property from Medical Center Commission to The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois. Said real property to be so purchased and paid for is described as follows: Vacated Alley Abutting Parcel 32:38 The West half of the vacated alley lying East of and adjoining the East line of the North g feet of Lot 61 in Potter Palmer's Subdivision of Lot 11 and that part of Lot 12 lying South of Polk Street (except Winchester Avenue) in Codwise's Subdivision of the West half of the South East quarter of Section 18, Township 39 North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian, - (except 1 chain and 37 links all along the West side thereof) in Cook County, Illinois. Parcel 32:37 Lot 62 in Potter Palmer's Subdivision of Lot 11 and that part of Lot 12 lying South of Polk Street (except Winchester Avenue) in the subdivision of the
