to these provisions and its willingness to accept this benefit and bequest if made available to it; Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved By The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois that it hereby records its willingness to accept and administer a principal fund estimated at $30,000, if made available to it either through an annuity contract or by provisions in the Will of Mrs. Antoinette Farren Brown, or through both; that, if received by it, such fund will be held by it in trust as a permanent endowment, the income only from the investment thereof to be used in perpetuity for a fellowship at the University of Illinois to be known as the Walter Burrows Brown Fellowship in Chemical Research; that said fund, if received, will be administered and invested by this Board, and in particular by Lloyd Morey as its Comptroller and his successors in that office; and that appointments to said fellowship, when so established, shall be made in conformity with the usual procedures established by this Board for such appointments ; and Be It Further Resolved that the said Board hereby records its willingness to receive and administer a fund in the estimated amount of $1,500, if made available to it, through an annuity contract, and cause the same to be expended for cancer research under the direction of Dr. Andrew C. Ivy, Vice-President of the Chicago Professional Colleges of the University of Illinois and distinguished Professor of Physiology, or his successor in office.

On motion of Mr. Herrick, this resolution was adopted.
