American Cancer Society, $11,581.50 a year from October 1, 1946, through June 30, 1948, for research studies of relations between nucleus and cytoplasm by the Department of Pathology. 30. American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education, $900 for the renewal of a fellowship in Pharmacognosy for one year beginning September 1, 1948; $600 for the renewal of a fellowship in Pharmacy for one year beginning October 1, 1948. 31. Life Insurance Medical Research Fund, $300 for research by the Department of Physiology, College of Medicine, in the treatment and prophylaxis of experimental hypertension. 32. Nutrition Research Laboratory, $83.33 a month during the months of June, July, August, and September, 1948, for research in arthritis by the Department of Physiology, College of Medicine. 42. Ciba Pharmaceutical Products, $1,500 for the study of primary irritant qualities and the skin sensitizing propensities of tetrahydrohurfuryl ester of nicotinic acid under the supervision of Dr. A. Rostenberg of the Department of Dermatology. 43. Commonwealth Fund, $500 to defray the laboratory expenses of a doctor sent by the Commonwealth Fund for advanced training and research in the Department of Pathology, during the year beginning September I, 1948. 44. Council on White Mineral Oil, $2,000 for a study of Frazer's partition hypothesis of fat absorption. 45. Dr. C. I. Reed of the Department of Physiology, $370 for the electron microscope fund. 46. National Committee for Mental Hygiene, Inc., $500 to be added to the Scottish Rite Masonic Fund for research in dementia praecox under the supervision of the Department of Psychiatry.
