MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS February 2 7 , 1 9 4 7 The February meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held on Thursday, February 27, 1947, at the Blackstone Hotel, Chicago, according to the following schedule: 10 a.m. — Executive session, as in Committee of the Whole. 12:30 p.m. -— Open session. When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Livingston, Mrs. Grigsby, Dr. Luken, Mr. McKelvey, Dr. Meyer. Mrs. Doris Holt, member-elect, was present during the entire day. President Stoddard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Mr. I. L. Porter, Treasurer, Dr. A. C. Ivy, Vice-President, Professor C. R. Griffith, Provost, and Professor W. E. Britton, Legal Counsel. The Board recessed. 253
