Society of Women^Engineers September 21, 1966 7:00 P.M. Mechanical Engineering Building lounge

The Student Section of the Society of Women .Engineers met on September 21, 1966, at 7:00 P.M. in the lounge of the Meehanieal Engineering Building. The Treasurer's report was read. the treasuryo There is a total of $126.70 in

The Secretary's minutes were read and approved as read. Old Business: Sandra Levey announced that the Pal Program could not be initiated this year but may be possible next year. Engineering Council report: Alison Ohamberlin reported that there would be a meeting in the auditorium on September 22, Kool-aid, coffee, and doughnuts would be served. Luncheons open to all engineers would be held on October 12 and on December 14 from 12:00 to 2iOO P.M. The cost is |1.75. A booklet containing the evaluation of courses and instructors might be made available to the students before they register. A survey is being taken on societies. Important facts are the number of people at the meetings, the number of members, and the refreshments served. The council will sponsor society organized bowling teams which would form a league, lo interest was shown. New Business: Open House report: Liz Koranyi reported that the Open House project would deal with tracing the history of computers* Small pieces of equipment will be borrowed for the display. Mary Lynn Oipriano resigned as secretary-treasurer* Nominations for office were opened. Alison Ohamberlin nominated Gloria Oaban. Mary Lynn nominated Liz Koranyi. Alison moved that the nominations be closed and the motion was seconded. Gloria Oaban was elected by a written ballot, A panel discussion about the social, religious, and scholastic life of the woman engineer was given by Mrs. Everitt, Sandra Levey, L3*nn Granzow, Alison Ohamberlin, Liz Koranyi, and Gloria Oaban. The next meeting will be held on October 1lat 7:00 P.M. in 134 Electrical Engineering Building. Dean Hill and Dean Wakeland will be guest speakers.
