Minutes for S.W.E. Meeting May 11, 1966 8 s 15 P.M. Center Hallway- Physics Building

University of Illinois Student Section

The Student Section of the Society of Women Engineers met on May 11,1966, at 8:15 P.M, in the Physics Building, Old Business: Voting on the amendment to change the bylaws to comply with , Engineering Council's suggestion of having one representative to Council take office in the spring semester. Article IV Officers and Duties Sections c & d Original: c. All Officers, except the Engineering Council Representative, shall be elected in April to take office at the last meeting of the school year. d. The representative to the Engineering Council shall be elected at the first meeting in the fall arid shall take office immediately. Revision A: 0. All Officers, except the vice-president, shall be elected in April to take office at the last meeting of the school year. d. The vice-president shall be elected at the December meeting and shall take office at the first meeting of the spring semester. Revision B: c. Same as original

d. The representative to Engineering Council shall be elected at the December meeting and shall take office at the first meeting of the spring semester. Vote was by secret ballot andfievisionA was passed unanimously. New Business: 1. Sandra Levey presented a rough outline of possible activities for next semester's meetings. She asked for the ideas and preferences of the members. 2. We talked about the Freshman Initiation Program, We decided that there should be a more personal contact between Freshmen and members. We will assign specific people to a group of Freshmen. We also discussed the PAL Program. No progress reported. Respectfully submitted,
