Society of Women*-Engineers May 4, 1966 6:45 P* M. University of Illinois 134 Electrical Engineering Building Student Section The Society of Women Engineers met May 4, 19661 at 6s 45 P« M. in room 134 Electrical Engineering Building. She money for the prints of the pictures that will he in the Jlli© has collected. Old Business! Kay Lester expressed her thanks to pveryon© wh© helped with the Engineering Open House Exhibit. Bew Business : 1. Proposed amendments to the Constitution. a) Change ihe term of office o|f the Vice-president so that she v/ill he elected at the feeemher and take office at the February meetings* The President f Secretary-treasurer, and the Engineering Council Representative would be elected in April and take office in May. b) Change the term of office of the Engineering Council Representative to run fromPebruary to Pebsa^ry. ©) There will be a meeting May 11, at 8s15 t , M # in the Green Street Hall of the Physics Building. This meeting will be to vote on the proposed amendments to the Constitution* 2. Kay Lester will send letters to the entering freshman girls in engineering. She will tell them who this years President will be and send a Thumbnail -Sketch of Engineering activities. This letter will be sent in the early part of the summer. Later in the summer the new President will write to the girls and send them a copy of the Engineering Coesf at Illinois. * Each entering freshman should be contacted personally and invited to attend the firit meeting with one of the upper classmen. 3. Programs for next year. Engineering Open House Pal program for the underprivilodged in the area. Election of officers. President nominations! Sandra Levej Sandra was elected by '?. vhitc ballot. Vice-president nominations! Lynn Gransow Lynn was elected by a white ballot. Secretary-treasurer! nominations: Bonnie Rowe and Mary Lynn Ciprian© Mary Lynn was elected by a writen ballot. Engineering Council Representative nominations! Alisom Chamberlin Alison was elected by a white ballot. Honarary Advisor,* nominations : Miss Wilson Miss Wilson was elected unanimously.
