SWE Meeting Tuesday, October if, 1977 7:OOpm 322 Illini Union The October meeting of the Student Section of the Society of Women Engineers was opend by Anne Opila. The minutes were read and officer reports V r r given. see Paula Traynor, chairperson for the central committee of Engineering Open House, 1978, discussed ways to get involved in EOH. Marie Norton was elected as SWE chairperson for the 1978 eoh project. Jean Lunzor reported on the telescope picnic. and fun. It was informative Nancy Hillman discussed the upcomi&g^ High School Girls' Conference on October 14 and 15. Women engineering students were encouraged to participate for a $5.00 fee. Marcia Carlson from Illinois Bell Telephone in Chicago was our guest speaker. She discussed the vast business world,developments and research at Bell, and moving into management positions.
