covering, air conditioning, and new laboratory equipment. T h e work also includes the connecting of utilities to laboratory equipment. Funds for this work are available from state capital appropriations for 1965-67 and have been released. Submitted herewith is a schedule of bids received, a copy of which is being filed with the Secretary of the Board for record. I concur.

On motion of Mr. Clement, these contracts were awarded by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Jones, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain; no, none; absent, Governor Kerner, Mr. Page, Dr. Weatherly.

CONSULTING SERVICES ON CAMPUS PLANNING, URBANA AND MEDICAL CENTER CAMPUSES (27) T h e Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend the continuation of employment of the firm of Richardson, Severns, Scheeler & Associates, Inc., Champaign, for consulting services on campus planning at the Urbana and Medical Center campuses until June 30, 1969, on the basis of itemized actual costs of technical personnel, including partners, when so engaged on University work, and an allowance of ISO per cent of said costs for overhead and fees. T h e services will generally cover the following assignments as authorized by the Physical Plant Department: 1. Continuation of the studies on the Campus Development Plans. 2. Studies of peripheral areas to coordinate campus development with studies developed by other agencies. 3. F u r t h e r development of detailed programs and studies for various colleges and departments. 4. Site selection and massing studies for new building projects. T h e estimated cost of these services is $40,000. This recommendation is subject to capital appropriations being made available by the Seventy-fifth General Assembly and release of funds by the Governor. I concur. O n m o t i o n of M r . J o n e s , t h i s r e c o m m e n d a t i o n w a s a p p r o v e d . INCREASE IN CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CHICAGO CIRCLE CAMPUS, PHASE II Addition to Engineering and Sciences Laboratory Building (28) T h e Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend that the Illinois Building Authority be requested to authorize an increase of $30,470 in the contract with Gust K. Newberg Construction Co., Chicago, for the construction of Chicago Circle Campus, Phase I I . The work will include the installation of an additional service elevator in the addition to the Engineering and Sciences Laboratory Building. Funds are available in the project budget for this work. I concur.

On motion of Mr. Swain, this recommendation was approved.

INCREASE IN CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CHICAGO CIRCLE CAMPUS. PHASE II Relocation of Temporary Construction Offices (29) T h e Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend that the Illinois Building Authority be requested to authorize an increase of $17,626 in the contract with Gust K. Newberg Construction Co., Chicago, for the construction of Chicago Circle Campus, Phase I I . T h e increase will permit the relocation of temporary construction offices. Funds are available in the project budget for this work. I concur.

On motion of Mr. Hughes, this recommendation was approved.
