CONTRACTS FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE UTILITIES DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM TO SERVE THE KRANNERT CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS. URBANA (12) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend the award of the following contracts for extensions of the utilities distribution system to serve the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, the award in each case being to the lowest bidder. Division AA — Steam and Chilled Water Service from the Air Conditioning Center to the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts — Julian Engineering Company, Chicago $ 77 828 00 Division BB — Thermal Insulation for Steam and Chilled Water Service—A & K Midwest Insulation Company, Champaign 19 170 00 Division CC — Underground Steam Tunnel Piping Extension — Dean Evans Co., Champaign 226 839 00 Total $323 837 00 Funds for these extensions are available in state capital appropriations to the University for the 1965-67 biennium and have been released. Attached is a report from the Physical Plant Department, including a schedule of the bids received, a copy of which is being filed with the Secretary of the Board for record. I concur.
