provide. The Authority will finance the construction and lease the facilities to the University for rental payments for which state appropriations are available. Jurisdiction of the land has been transferred to the Authority. It is also recommended that the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board be authorized to make, execute, acknowledge, and deliver such instruments of transfer, conveyance, lease, contract, and other documents as are necessary to provide for the carrying out of the foregoing project and facility by the Illinois Building Authority, and that the resolution submitted herewith be adopted to implement the official action requested. Resolution Be It, and It Hereby Is, Resolved by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a public corporation of the State of Illinois, that the Illinois Building Authority be, and it hereby is, requested to award to Herlihy Mid-Continent Company, 40/ South Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois 60605, a contract for construction of the underground oil tank and pump house for the Utilities Building, Phase I I I Addition at the Chicago Circle Campus for the sum of $258,500.00 and proceed to procure this facility for the use of the University. Be It, and It Hereby Is, Further Resolved by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a public corporation of the State of Illinois, that the Comptroller and Secretary of this public corporation be, and they hereby are, authorized to make, execute, acknowledge and deliver, in the name and on behalf of this corporation, such instruments of transfer, conveyance, lease, contract and other documents as are necessary or appropriate in order to provide for the carrying out of the foregoing project and facility by the Illinois Building Authority.

On motion of Mr. Swain, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Jones, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain; no, none; absent, Governor Ogilvie, Mr. Page, Mr. Steger.

LEASE OF 6 0 6 % EAST GREEN STREET. CHAMPAIGN (18) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends that the Board of Trustees request the University of Illinois Foundation to enter into a lease of the entire second floor (2,645 square feet) of the property at 606Vi East Green Street, Champaign, for the Police Training Institute of the Division of University Extension at an annual rental of $5,800 for a period beginning on or about July 1, 1969, and extending until June 30, 1972, with an option for renewal for an additional three-year period at the same rental rate and that the Foundation sublease the space to the University at the same rental on an annual basis. Funds for minor remodeling and for rental and operation until June 30, 1970, are available in the revolving account of the Police Training Institute. Funds required for annual renewals of the sublease and operation costs after that date will be paid from this account as long as the Police Training Institute retains possession and thereafter will be requested in the budget of the Department of Plant and Services on an annual basis.

On motion of Mr. Grimes, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Jones, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain; no, none; absent, Governor Ogilvie, Mr. Page, Mr. Steger.

LEASE WITH MID-AMERICA CHAPTER, AMERICAN RED CROSS, FOR DIVISION OF SERVICES FOR CRIPPLED C H I L D R E N , CHICAGO OFFICE (19) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends, subject to funds being made available from appropriations by the Seventy-sixth General Assembly, the execution of a lease with the American Red Cross, Mid-America Chapter, for the rental of_ 4,800 square feet of space located at 43 East Ohio Street, Chicago, for the Chicago District Office of the Division of Services for Crippled Children. T h e current lease held by the University expires June 30, 1969; and it is
