30o BOARD OF TRUSTEES [April 27 2. W. H. Keefer, certified laborer in the Physical Plant Department—$273.50. Mr. Keefer was in the active service of the University from September 15, 1916, until his death on February 14, 1939. 3. L. D. Powers, Associate in Physics in the College of Pharmacy—$1,137.50. Doctor Powers was in the active service of the University from September 1, 1932, until his death on February 27, 1939. 4. D. C. Sprinkle, certified laborer in the Physical Plant Department—$285.00. Mr. Sprinkle was in the active service of the University from February 28, 1907, until his retirement on July I, 1932. 5. G. E. Murphy, certified laborer in the Physical Plant Department— $649.78. Mr. Murphy was in the active service of the University from M a y 10, 1923, to July 25, 1938, when he was granted a leave of absence without pay. Under the rules of the Board the death benefit of a staff member while on leave of absence on part salary or without salary shall be based on his full salary rate. Mr. Murphy died March 30, 1939.
