Funds as required will be covered by a contract work order which will be charged against fundi allocated for each such project. A schedule of the bids received has been filed with the secretary of the board for record. It is further recommended that the comptroller be authorized to approve work orders under these cost-plus contracts up to $25,000 for each project. Such work orders will be reported in the usual manner in the comptroller's monthly report. O n motion of Mr. Cobb, these contracts were awarded by the following vote: Aye, Mrs. Day, Dr. Donoghue, M r . Forsyth, Mr. H a h n , Mr. Logan, Mr. Madden, Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. Stone; no, none; absent, Mr. Howard, Governor Thompson. (The student advisory vote was: Aye, Mr. Cobb, Miss Forsyth; no, n o n e ; absent, Mr. Bandala.) Contracts for Remodeling, Student Residence Hall, Chicago (22) The president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the award of contracts for remodeling the first floor, food-service area in the Student Residence Hall, Health Sciences Center, Chicago campus. The award is in each case to the low bidder on its base bid. (This is the construction portion of the first phase of a project to improve the public areas on the first floor of the building.)' Funds are available from the proceeds of the sale of University of Illinois Auxiliary Facilities System Revenue Bonds, Series N. A schedule of the bids received has been filed with the secretary of the board for record. 1 The trustees, on April 21, 1983, approved a contract for the purchase and Installation of the food-service equipment portion of the first phase. The current project is to refurbish the food service area_ of the delicatessen seryery, create a new lobby-lounge, and refurnish the adjacent corridor which includes a food vending area. The woik wilt be substantially completed by September 15. 1983. The remainder of the project, upgrading the balance of the public spaces and replacement of furnishings and moveable equipment, will be bid in the near future.
