APPROPRIATION FOR ENGINEERING EXPERIMENT STATION PUBLICATIONS

(7) A recommendation that an assignment of $2,000 be made from the General Reserve Fund for the publication of manuscripts representing results of the research work of the Engineering Experiment Station. On motion of Mr. Mayer, this appropriation was made as recommended, by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Adams, Mr. Cleary, Mr. Karraker, Mr. Mayer, Mr. Moschel, Mrs. Plumb, Mr. Pogue; no, none; absent, Mrs. Freeman, Mr. Horner, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Wieland.

APPROPRIATION O F RECEIPTS OF DEPARTMENT OF H O R T I C U L T U R E

(8) A recommendation that an appropriation of $1,221 be made to the Department of Horticulture from the unappropriated receipts of the Department for the purchase of equipment. The Department has a sufficient balance in the unappropriated agricultural income for Horticulture fund for this purpose. On motion of Mr. Adams, this appropriation was made, as recommended, by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Adams, Mr. Cleary, Mr. Karraker, Mr. Mayer, Mr. Moschel, Mrs. Plumb, Mr. Pogue; no, none; absent, Mrs. Freeman, Mr. Horner, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Wieland.

ASSIGNMENTS O F ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

(g) The Board of Directors of the Athletic Association has made the following assignments from its reserve fund which are submitted to the Board of Trustees for its approval: Adjustment in salary of J. T. Beynon $ 200 00 Painting steel work at Stadium 1 000 00 Gold basketball emblems 115 00 Inaugural banquet for new Director 400 00 Contribution to University of Illinois Foundation 2 000 00 Total $3 715 00 On motion of Mrs. Plumb, these assignments were approved.

ADJUSTMENT IN ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION BUDGET

(10) The Athletic Association reports the following changes in its salaries budget for 1936-1937 as a result of changes in the directorship: Provision for salary of Director George Huff $1 680 Portion of salary paid prior to his death 420 Balance unused $1 260 Increase in salary of W. S. Wilson, Director, effective March 1, 1937 000 Net balance remaining $ 360 On motion of Mr. Moschel, these adjustments were approved.

Odum, of the University of North Carolina, at present Visiting Professor of Sociology at the University of Illinois, Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology on indefinite tenure, beginning September 1, 1937, at an annual salary of $7,000.
