He recommends that the contract be awarded to Snead & Company, the lowest responsible and acceptable bidder, on the basis of their bid of $138,780, with the option of changing to cast iron shelf supports instead of the sheet steel, for the additional sum of $4,900. I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of D r . Noble, this award was m a d e as recommended. HEATING INSTALLATION IN THE THIRD UNIT OF THE NEW LIBRARY BUILDING (4) The Supervising Architect submits the following schedule of bids received for the heating installation in the third unit of the N e w Library Building: SCHEDULE OF BIDS Bidder Bid Carstens Bros. (Chicago) 22 000 He recommends that the contract be awarded to Carstens Bros., of Ackley, Iowa, the lowest responsible and acceptable bidder, on the basis of their bid of $16,850. I concur in the recommendation. O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, this award w a s m a d e as recommended.
