Mrs. Evans reported that she had been present at the opening of the bids on August 16, 1927 (See schedules of bids under items 2 to 8 below). MATTERS PRESENTED BY PRESIDENT KINLEY The Board considered the following matters presented by the President of the University. APPROPRIATIONS FOR NEW BUILDINGS (1) I recommend that the funds appropriated by the Fifty-fifth General Assembly for the new buildings for the biennium 1927-29 be appropriated as follows: Third unit of a Library Building and equipment #500,000 Addition to Lincoln Hall and equipment 500,000 Materials Testing Laboratory and equipment 500,000 O n motion of M r s . Evans, this appropriation w a s m a d e , by the following vote: A y e , M r . Armstrong, M r . Barr, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, D r . Noble, M r . W a r d ; no, none; absent, M r . Blair, M r s . Busey, M r s . Ickes, M r . Small, M r . Trees.

I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of M r . Barr, this contract w a s awarded as recommended.
