RESOLUTIONS IN REGARD TO RESEARCH IN PHARMACY (7) A statement that at a meeting held in Cleveland on August 12, 1922, there was organized a National Conference on Pharmaceutical Research. This conference passed thefollowingresolutions: R E S O L V E D : It i the sense of this Research Conference that every College s of Pharmacy should provide the necessary financial means so that at least one professor or, i that should not be possible, an assistant be appointed to devote his f entire time to research. R E S O L V E D : That these resolutions be sent to the Trustees of the various colleges of pharmacy. This report was received for record.

APPOINTMENT TO ADVISORY BOARD, SCHOOL OF PHARMACY

(8) A recommendation that Mr. Joseph F. Shreve of Jacksonville be appointed a member of the Advisory Board of the School of Pharmacy forfiveyears beginning July 1, 1923, to succeed Mr. P. D. Roark of Macomb, whose term expires June 30, 1923. O n motion of M r s . Blake, this appointment was m a d e .

PURCHASE OF GREEN LOT

(9) A report from the Comptroller that the purchase authorized by the Board on November 9 of the lot owned by Professor Frederick Green on West Nevada Street at the south end of Goodwin Avenue, known as Lot 19 of Forestry Heights Addition to the City of Urbana, has been completed, and a warranty deed and abstract of titlefiledwith the Secretary of the Board. This report was received for record, RULES FOR CUSTODIANSHIP OF MOVABLE PROPERTY (10) A recommendation that the following regulations be adopted: I. Movable equipment purchased for or assigned to a department of the University will be considered as in the custody of the head of that department, who will be responsible for it. He will report annually to the Comptroller on all such equipment as long as i continues in service, and will make special report whent ever such equipment becomes unserviceable, or when it becomes of no further service to that department. 2. The Comptroller will be expected to arrange for the transfer of any equipment which has become of no further service in one department, but which can be used in some other department, or for the sale or disposition of any equipment which can no longer be used by the University. 3. Movable equipment for general use, meaning equipment which i usable s by all departments, or by various departments, or by the University in general, will be considered as in the custody of the Supervising Architect, who will make report to the Comptroller on such equipment, the same as the head of any department of the University. 4. The Supervising Architect shall also provide, on the request of the Comptroller, storage for any departmental equipment temporarily not in use. O n motion of M r . Noble, these regulations were adopted.
