(2) A letter from Mr. W, B. Day, as Secretary of the Illinois Pharmaceutical Association, stating that at the annual meeting of the association the list of the following persons was chosen from which one is \o be appointed as a member of the Advisory Board of the School of Pharmacy to fill the vacancy caused by the expiration of the term of Mr. E. H. Ladish, of Chicago, whose term expires June 30, 1914, viz: George F. Shreve, Jacksonville. J. C. Wheatcroft, Grayville. B. A. C. Hoelzer, Chicago. As the southern portion of the State is not represented on the Advisory Board at the present time, and as Mr. Wheatcroft is highly recommended. I nominate J. C. Wheatcroft, of Grayville, 111., as a member of the Advisory Board of the School of Pharmacy of the University of Illinois, for the term of five years, to fill the vacancy caused by the expiration of the term of Mr. E. H. Ladish.

OFFERS OF L A N D .

(3) Three communications offering to sell to the University land in Urbana and Champaign in the vicinity of the University:

PROPERTY NEAR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION LOTS.

I. A communication from Walter B. Riley, of Champaign, 111., relative to the possible sale of a tract of land in Champaign, formerly owned by James R. Scott, and bounded by Daniel, First, and Davidson Streets, and the Illinois Central right of way. Mr. Riley states that the tract of land contains twenty-one acres plus. In computing this acreage, all of Daniel and First Streets have been excluded, but the streets and alleys south of Daniel and west of First have been included,' except that portion of Davidson Street formerly a portion of the tract of land purchased by the Athletic Association. There are fifty-one lots within this area which can be purchased for $47,350 more or less. About twenty lots within this acreage are owned by other people.

II. A proposition, dated June 9, from Mary A. Brown to convey to the University the property on the northeast corner of Mathews Avenue and Illinois Street in Urbana, including the vacant corner lot, the house v adjacent to the lot, owned by her son, and the two houses between the said corner and the University Club property, being 120 feet on Mathews Avenue and 198 feet on Illinois Street, for the sum of $25,000. There are mortgages on the properties aggregating $12,000, which may remain or be renewed if desired}

III. A communication from Otis M. Green, Esq., Urbana, 111., offering for sale property at the southwest corner of Wright and Green Streets in the city of Champaign, having approximately a frontage of 125 feet on Wright Street and 174% feet on Green Street, with a suggestion that this property may be obtained for the sum of $15,000.

All these offers were referred to the Finance Committee for consideration and report.

DESIGN FOR E D U C A T I O N BUILDING APPROVED.

(4) The design for the building for the School of Education.

At this point, the Supervising Architect introduced Mr. James B. Dibelka, State Architect, who presented the merits of the design submitted by him. The style of this design is an adaptation of the English collegiate gothic.
