It was voted to receive the foregoing report of the Committee on Buildings and Grounds for record, and to adopt the recommendation of the committee with respect to the proposed widening and paving of Orchard Lane.

CONTRACT FOR FLORICULTURAL GREENHOUSES.

Prof. James M. White, Supervising Architect, submitted the following report and recommendation on the subject of the bids received on the superstructure for the floricultural greenhouses:

T h e F o l e y M a n u f a c t u r i n g C o m p a n y a r e b i d d i n g on a l a r g e r g l a s s a r e a t h a n Lord & Burnham, and the computation shows t h a t the Foley Manufacturing C o m p a n y ' s bid of $7,390 is a b e t t e r proposition t h a n L o r d & B u r n h a m ' s bid of $7,151.19; a n d F o l e y ' s bid of $9,090 is c o n s i d e r a b l y lower t h a n L o r d & B u r n h a m ' s bid of $9,471.19.
