88 UNIVERSITY OF I L L I N O I S . [March 14 Meeting of March 14, 1911. The annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was called to meet in the trustees* room in the Natural History building, Urbana, at 10 a. m._, on Tuesday, March 14, 1911. When the board met pursuant to the call, the following members were present: Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Grout, Mr. Hatch, Mr. Hoit. President James was present. Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey, and Mr. Hoit, who had been elected members of the board at the JSTovember election, took the oath of office before the opening of the session. There being no quorum present, the board adjourned to meet at the LaSalle Hotel, in Chicago, at 12:30 p. m., on Monday, March 20, 1911. W. L, ABBOTT, C. M. McCoisnsr, Secretary. • President. Meeting of the Executive Committee. A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the trustees' room, in the Natural History building, Urbana, on the morning of Tuesday, March 14, 1911. All the members of the committee were present, namely, Messrs. Abbott, Grout, and H a t c h ; also Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, and Mr. Hoit, members of the board, and President James. E E P O R T OP T H E C O M M I T T E E ON B U I L D I N G S AND GROUNDS. Mr. Abbott presented the following report of the .Committee on Buildings and Grounds: URBANA, Mar. 13, 1911. To the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois: Your Committee on Buildings and Grounds met at the University on the afternoon of Monday, Mar. 13, 1911. Present: Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hatch; absent, Mr. Moore. President James and Professor J. M. "White, supervising architect, were also present during a part of the meeting. The committee considered first the three requests, one from the University Librarian, and two from the College of Science, referred to it by the board at the meeting of Feb. 28, 1911, for consideration and report.
