1. The committee recommends the approval of the request of the College of Science that the library room in the Natural History building for the use of the State Laboratory of Natural History, the Geological Survey, and the departments of Botany, Entomology, Geology and Zoology be furnished with iron stacks and suitable equipment at an estimated cost of $5,000.00, and that an appropriation of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) be made for this purpose. 2. The committee recommends that an appropriation of one hundred dollars ($100.00) be made for fitting up the tower basement room in the library with wooden book cases taken from the library room in the Natural History building. This recommendation is made in lieu of approving the request of the librarian, that the said rooms should be equipped with steel book cases at an estimated cost of $1,500.00. 3. The committee recommends, further, that the request of the College of Science for an appropriation of twelve hundred fifty dollars ($1,250.00) for special apparatus in physiology be approved, and that an appropriation of the amount specified be made. 4. The committee recommends that the sum of forty thousand dollars ($40,000.00) be appropriated, from the special State appropriation for a University hall, for the finishing, furnishing and equipment of Lincoln hall; this money to be expended by the supervising architect with the approval of the Committee on Buildings and Grounds. 5. The committee recommends, also, an appropriation of four thousand dollars ($4,000.00) for water main extensions and additional hydrants; this money to be expended by the supervising architect in consultation with Professor Talbot. 6. The committee recommends, also, an appropriation of one hundred twenty dollars ($120.00) to provide permanent lighting suitable for art exhibits in the second story of the foyer of the auditorium.
