SALARIES.

Also .during the discussion of the budget Dr. Davison moved t h a t the increase, if any, in the salaries in the College of Engineering be charged to the special appropriation for the Engineering College and Experiment Station. This motion was adopted by the following vote: Yeas, Messrs. Crebs, Blair, Abbott, Davison, Grout and Moore and Mrs. Busey and Mrs. E v a n s ; nays, Mr. H a t c h ; absent, Governor Deneen, Mr. Meeker and Mrs. Bahrenburg. Mr. Abbott explained that he voted yea as he intended to move later a reconsideration. The discussion was then interrupted in order that the State Architect might be heard.

ADDITION TO H E A T I N G PLANT.

Plans were presented for addition to the heating plant and, on motion of Mr. Abbott, these plans were accepted and the State Architect and supervising architect were authorized to advertise for bids and make a contract for same by the following vote: Yeas, Crebs, Blair, Abbott, Davison, Grout, H a t c h and Moore and Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Busey; nays, n o n e ; absent, Governor Deneen, Mr. Meeker and Mrs. Bahrenburg.

COPPER EOR BOOE OE MUSEUM.

On motion of Mr. Abbott and by the following vote the. Committee on Buildings and Grounds was authorized to have copper substituted for tin on the roof of the museum addition at an expense not to exceed $244.00: Yeas, Crebs, Blair,. Abbott, Davison, Grout, Hatch and Moore and Mrs. EVans and Mrs. Busey; nays, none; absent, Governor Deneen, Mr. Meeker and Mrs* Bahrenburg. On motion of Mrs. Busey and by the following vote it was ordered that the east wall of the Museum building be faced with pressed brick: Yeas, Crebs, Blair, Abbott, Davison, Grout, Hatch and Moore and Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Busey; nays, n o n e ; absent, Governor Deneen, Mr. Meeker and Mrs. Bahrenburg. A recess was then taken until 2 :30 p. m.

Afternoon Session, July 21, 1909.

When the board met after recess the same members were present as during the morning session.
