Some things may be left until next summer, but some shou/ld be done this summer. I estimate that the cost of the work which should be done this summer will be about as follows: Purchase ahd installation of new water-tube boiler of about 250 H. P . to replace old fire-tube boiler of 120 H. P Extension of coal and ash handling machinery and coal storage bins in front of the New Stirling boilers New supplies: Feed pump, safety valves, blow-off valves, exhaust head, oil extractor, small tools Total.. $5,000 00 2,000 00 1,000 00 $8,000 00 I recommend that authority be granted to purchase and install the above, apparatus. Further expenditures which are absolutely necessary can be determined when it is known at what date the new auditorium will be finished and ready for heating. Yours respectfully, L. P.
