T h e r e were p r e s e n t Governor Altgeld, a n d Messrs. A r m s t r o n g , Bullard, G r a h a m , M c K a y , M c L e a n , R a a b , a n d R a y m o n d ; absent, Messrs. B r y a n t , Gore, M o r g a n , a n d Morrison. T h e m i n u t e s of t h e m e e t i n g s of J u n e 5, 1894, a n d A u g u s t 1, 1894, were approved. O n motion of Mr. M c K a y , i t was voted t h a t P r e s i d e n t D r a p e r , t h e d e a n s of t h e colleges, a n d two m e m b e r s of t h e B o a r d of Trustees, s h o u l d be a c o m m i t t e e to m a k e a r r a n g e m e n t s for t h e installation of t h e P r e s i d e n t , a n d t h e dedication of E n g i n e e r i n g H a l l , these exercises to be h e l d N o v e m b e r 15, 1894. Messrs. A r m s t r o n g a n d M c K a y were s u b s e q u e n t l y a p p o i n t e d as m e m b e r s of t h i s c o m m i t t e e from t h e B o a r d of T r u s t e e s . T h e E x e c u t i v e C o m m i t t e e m a d e t h e following report, w h i c h was confirmed on motion of Mr. M c K a y : REPORT OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. To the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois. GENTLEMEN:—Your Executive Committee met in Chicago, August 17, 1894, with all the members present. President Draper and Mr. Morgan were also present. It was voted that a room be added to the farm house on the south farm; and the request from the tenant for new corn-cribs and repairs on the barn was referred to Mr. Morrison, Chairman of the Farm Committee, with instructions to examine into the matter and have such improvements made as should be found necessary.
