1951] UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 749 Junior Personnel Technician DEFINITION: Under administrative direction and supervision to perform one or more phases of personnel operation, such as classification, training, examination analyses, and conducting student tests, in a central or departmental personnel unit. D U T I E S BY EXAMPLE: T O perform necessary statistical analyses of examination results; act as monitor in the holding of examinations; assist in grading examinations and the preparation of eligible lists; execute various tasks in assembling and preparing examinations; aid in research projects related to testing; prepare examination material; conduct oral interviews; prepare flow charts; maintain calendar of examinations; refer students and other interested people to the proper counselor for interview relative to vocational guidance; perform related work as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: University graduation, with training in personnel work preferable; working knowledge of personnel methods and techniques as required; experience in technical personnel work desirable; ability to deal effectively and harmoniously with the general public, faculty, and staff; minimum age twenty-one. Cylinder Pressman DEFINITION: Under the supervision of a foreman, to perform work requiring skill in the operation of a cylinder press. D U T I E S BY EXAMPLE : To perform skilled work in the trade of Cylinder Pressman. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduation; vocational training desirable; experience sufficient to qualify as a journeyman with minimum of five years of actual work at the trade; proficiency in the use of tools and equipment; good physical condition; minimum age twenty-three. Ironworker The classification of Ironworker is to be added to the trades listed under the specification for Skilled Tradesman.
