MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS November 23, 1951 The November meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the LaSalle Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, on Friday, November 23, 1951, beginning at 3:00 p.m. The following members of the Board were present: President Livingston, Mr. Grange, Mr. Herrick, Mr. Hickman, Mrs. Holt, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Megran, Mr. Nickell, and Mrs. Watkins. Also present were President George D. Stoddard, Provost Coleman R. Griffith, Vice-President A. C. Ivy, Mr. Ralph F. Lesemann, Legal Counsel, Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information, Mr. R. B. Hudson, Director of University Broadcasting, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Mr. C. W. Weldon, Treasurer, and Mr. A. J. Janata, Secretary of the Board. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meetings of July 25 and September 19, 1951, press proof copies of which had been sent to all members of the Board in advance of this meeting, On motion of Mr. Johnston, these minutes were approved as printed on pages 833 to 1252, inclusive. 1289
