REORGANIZATION OF T H E CHICAGO 1LLIN1 U N I O N BOARD (22) The Director of the Chicago Illini Union, the Associate Director of the Physical Plant, and the Dean of Student Affairs for the Chicago Professional Colleges, recommend a reorganization and clarification of the functions of the Chicago Illini Union Board to enable it to serve effectively in support of the requirements of the Chicago Professional Colleges. It is proposed that the Chicago Illini Union Board be organized and changed as follows: I. Membership (fourteen at present) 1. Student Members a. One student elected by the student council of each college or school identified with the Chicago Professional Colleges (at present, the Colleges of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and the Graduate College). b. One student member, representative of Chicago Illini Union Board committees, appointed by the Director of the Union on the recommendation of the Social Director. 2. Faculty Members One faculty member from each college or school appointed by the VicePresident in charge of the Chicago Professional Colleges. 3. Ex-officio Members The Director, the Social Director of the Chicago Illini Union, and the Chairman of the Chicago Professional Colleges Senate Committee on Student Affairs. 4- Terms of Office Membership on the Chicago Illini Union Board shall be for a twelvemonth period from July 1 of each year. To be eligible for election and to hold office, student members must be and remain in good standing in the University. Student members may be re-elected once.
