414 BOAKD OF TRUSTEES [November 10 AUTHORITY TO GIVE PUBLICITY TO RESULTS O F INVESTIGATIONS OF AUTOMATIC C O N T R O L SYSTEMS O F HEATING PLANTS (18) A recommendation of the Executive Staff of the Engineering Experiment Station that Messrs. S. Konzo and A. F. Hubbard be permitted to present a paper at the annual meeting of the American Society of Heating & Ventilating Engineers, on their investigation of automatic control systems as applied to coal-fired, forced-air heating plants. On motion of Mr. Barr, this recommendation was approved. X-RAY STUDY O F INSULATING OILS (19) A request from the Utilities Research Commission for a modification of the agreement for a proposed x-ray study of insulating oils by the Engineering Experiment Station. On motion of M r . Barr, this matter w a s referred to the Committee on Patents, with t h e President of the Board and the Acting President of the University, for consideration and report. A U D I T O F ACCOUNTS OF ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION Mr. Trees, for the Finance Committee, presented the report of the examination of the accounts of the Athletic Association, made by Arthur Andersen & Co. On motion of Mr. Trees, the President of the Board was requested to appoint a special committee of three members (including the President of the Board) and the Acting President of the University to stud)' the future relations of the University and the Athletic Association. President Barrett appointed Mr. Trees, Chairman, and Mr. Barr, to act with him on this committee. COMPTROLLER'S QUARTERLY REPORT Mr. Trees, for the Finance Committee, presented the financial report of the Comptroller for the quarter ending September 30, 1933. This report was received for record. GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS A N D FELLOWSHIPS T h e Secretary presented for record the following list of graduate scholars appointed by the Acting President of the University. (November 7, 1933)* Barthel, Verne B., University Senior Stenographer in the Department of Physiology, in the College of Medicine, for ten months beginning November l. 1933. subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission, at a cash compensation at the rate of ninety-three dollars thirty-three cents ($93.33) a month (this supersedes her previous appointment) (October 25, 1933) Bradley, William B., Research Assistant in Physiological Chemistry, in the College of Medicine, for eleven months beginning October 1, 1933, at a cash compensation at the rate of eighty-three dollars thirty-three cents ($83.33) a month.
