Any courses subsequently organized in this new department shall not duplicate work given in the College of Commerce and Business Administration. In order to avoid possible duplication outlines of proposed new courses shall be submitted to the College of Commerce and Business Administration before they are announced. D. The staff having full-time or part-time responsibilities for teaching the courses referred to under A or B shall be organized into a department which shall include others on part-time or full-time appointment in experiment station and extension work in the same fields. E. During a formative period of two years the department will have the services of an advisory committee, which shall meet at least once each semester with its executive committee, the advisory committee to be constituted as follows: (1) The head of the Department of Economics; (2) The head of the Department of Business Organization and Operation; (3) The heads of two of the following Departments, as designated by the Dean of the College of Agriculture, in his capacity as Dean and Director: Agronomy, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Husbandry, and Horticulture. During this two-year formative period the executive committee of the department shall be constituted as follows: (1) The chairman, head, or acting head of the department; (2) The ranking specialist in Agricultural Economics; (3) The ranking specialist in Farm Organization and Management; and (4) The ranking specialist in agricultural commodity marketing. On motion of Mr. Blair, this recommendation was adopted. UNIVERSITY CHORUS FEES (7) A recommendation that a fee of one dollar per semester be charged for membership in the University Chorus and that the income from such fees be appropriated for the expenses of the Chorus. O n motion of M r . Trees, this recommendation w a s adopted. CHANGE IN LYING-IN SERVICE FEE IN RESEARCH A N D E D U C A T I O N A L HOSPITAL (8) A recommendation that the charge or fee of ¥2.00 for supplies which was established by the Board of Trustees on June 3, 1930 (Minutes, page 600), when the College of Medicine was authorized to conduct an out-patient lying-in service in connection with the Research and Educational Hospital, be abolished. O n motion of D r . Noble, this fee w a s abolished. CONSULTING SERVICES OF PROFESSOR A. C. WILLARD (9) A request that Professor A. C. Willard of the Department of Mechanical Engineering be granted permission to render consulting services concerning certain ventilating problems relating to the new "Midtown Hudson River Tunnel." On motion of Mr. Armstrong, this request was granted.
