1923] UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 233 APPOINTMENT OF MISS MARIA L E O N A R D AS DEAN OF W O M E N (8) A recommendation that Miss Maria Leonard be appointed Dean o Women, f for one year, beginning September I, 1923, at a salary of #5,000. At this point, President Noble presented the resignation of Dean Mason. O n the recommendation of President Kinley, and on motion of M r . Trimble, Miss Mason's resignation was accepted to take effect August 31, 1923. O n motion of M r . Herbert, Miss Leonard's appointment was approved as recommended. HONORARIA FOR MEMBERS OF COLLEGE OF MEDICINE ADVISORY COMMISSION (9) A recommendation that each of thefivemembers of the College of Medicine Advisory Commission be granted an honorarium of $350, for services rendered, and that an appropriation of £1750 be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund for this purpose. O n motion of Mrs. Blake, this recommendation was concurred in, by the following vote: Aye, M r . Armstrong, Mrs. Blake, M r s . Evans, Mrs. Grigsby, M r . Herbert, M r . Noble, M r . Trees, M r . Trimble; no, none; absent, M r . Blair, M r s . Busey, M r . Small. BUILDING PROGRAM (10) A statement concerning the building program. Professor White m a d e a report of progress on the plans for the new buildings to be erected during the biennium O n motion of Mrs. Blake, the report of progress on the G y m nasium was accepted, subject to the submission of designs showing the elevation, etc. O n motion of M r . Trees, the plans for the Dairy barn were approved and the Supervising Architect was authorized to proceed with the working drawings and to take bids on the basis of a complete building, with the option of omitting one wing; and to construct the silos. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, the plans for the addition to the F a r m Mechanics building were approved and the Supervising Architect was authorized to proceed with the plans and specifications. O n motion of M r . Trees, the Supervising Architect was instructed to have the plans, specifications, and working drawings for all the new buildings ready by December 1, 1923. POLICY IN COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY (11) A statement concerning the policy of employing certain members of the clinical staff of the College of Dentistry on full time. D e a n M o o r e h e a d m a d e a statement concerning this matter. It w a s the opinion of the Board that certain m e m b e r s of the clinical staff, heads of divisions or departments, of the College of Dentistry should be employed on full time.
