BOARD OF TRUSTEES ASSIGNMENT OF LAND

(12) A recommendation that the forty acres of land just east of the golf course which the Horticulture Department has hitherto used and from which it has now withdrawn, be assigned to the College of Agriculture for the poultry work; and that the forty acres across the street west of the golf course be set apart for the present as a surveying tract for the Department of Civil Engineering and that it may be used for golf at times when it is not being used for class purposes, the Superintendent of Business Operations to make the necessary arrangements between the Department of Civil Engineering and the Golf Club. O n motion of M r s . Evans, these recommendations were concurred in.

PURCHASE OF LAND AND HOUSE ON NEVADA STREET

(13) A recommendation that the house and lot of Mr. W . W . Mitchell at 1117 West Nevada Street, Urbana, be purchased for $13,605.00, and that an appropriation of this amount be made for this purpose and that the further sum of $395.00 be appropriated to meet the expenses of the transfer. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, these recommendations were approved. T h e appropriation from the Reserve and Contingent fund w a s m a d e b y the following vote: A y e , M r . Armstrong, M r s . P U R C H A S E O F L A N D F R O M ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (14) A recommendation that the Stoolman tract (18.51 acres) and the tract between First street and the Illinois Central right of way (20 acres) be purchased from the Athletic association for $81,236.92 and that $82,000, or so much thereof as may be needed, be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent fund to meet the purchase price and the expense of the transfer. O n motion of M r . Trimble, this recommendation was approved, by the following vote: A y e , M r . Armstrong, M r s . Blake, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r . Herbert, M r . Noble, M r . Trees, M r . Trimble; no, none; absent, M r . Blair, M r s . Busey, M r . Small. AUDIT O F STADIUM F U N D (15) A recommendation, made at the suggestion of Mr. Clarence J. Rosebery, Secretary of the Stadium Committee, that the accounts of the Stadium Fund be audited by thefirmemployed to audit the University accounts, not later than September 1, at University expense. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this recommendation w a s approved.

(16) A recommendation that the sum of $19,250 be appropriated from our free balance on June 30, 1923, to make further payments on land purchases, as per the following schedule.
