UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS

The Architects are to keep a complete record of all transactions and to render monthly statements of the condition of such contracts and transactions. No extras or credits are to be ordered except upon written approval of the Stadium Committee. I note in the press proof of the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees, on May loth, last, that the purchase of the Stoolman property, so called, was reported to the Board and was given approval. There has been no further meeting of the general Executive Committee of the Stadium. The Building Committee is still busy working out details in connection with the Architects and I understand that this Committee went to Columbus, Ohio, for the purpose of gaining first hand information in regard to the construction work of the'Ohio Stadium, which may have a bearing upon the plans for our building. Notices calling for the payment of the second installment, due July 1st, upon Stadium pledges, are now being prepared in the office of the Secretary and Collection Manager. It may be of interest to the Board to know that a small bulletin giving information regarding Stadium developments will be enclosed with these notices. Respectfully submitted, C. J. ROSEBERY

On motion of Mrs. Grigsby, this report was received for record and the actions taken by the Stadium Executive Committee as outlined in the report were approved.

M Y DEAR PRESIDENT KINLEY:

I have received from Mr. Capron a surety bond in the amount of $100,000 in the Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland, which I have transmitted to the Secretary of the Board of Trustees for safekeeping. The bill of $250 is being paid from the Stadium Fund. The balance of cash in the hands of Mr. Heath has been turned over by him to Mr. Capron. I understand that the securities have also been transferred by Mr. Heath to Mr. Capron. As soon as all these matters have been finally checked up, I shall cancel Mr. Heath's bond. Very truly yours,

LLOYD MOREY

Comptroller
