Harold W. Haydcn, B.S. '29, superintendent of the Periodical R ead in Room at the State University of Iowa Library Iowa City, Iowa, has L awarded a Carnegie Fellowship at the University of Michigan DcpartmS of Library Science for 1937-38, where he will secure his Master's d c j £ majoring in Library Science. Mr. Haydcn has been granted a leave 0 absence from the State University of Iowa. Geraldine Elizabeth Kirkham, B.S. '29, was married on July 18, 1937 t Mr Lloyd Haynes. Mrs. Haynes will continue as assistant librarian of th San Diego State College Library, San Diego, California. Mr. and Mrs Haynes will reside at 3394 Grim Street, San Diego, California. • Elizabeth L. Wyant, B.S. '29, resigned her position in the order department of Northwestern Universitv Library at Evanston, Illinois, to become assistant reference librarian of the Hackley Public Library at Muskegon,] Michigan. 1 Nellie M. Bredehoft, B.S. '30, has joined the staff of the Kewanee,] Illinois, Public Library. Dorothy M. Coie, B.S. '30, formerly an assistant on the Salem, Oregon, Public Library staff, is now Mrs. A. Cassellius. Mr. and Mrs. Cassellius are residing at 157 South Winter Street, Salem, Oregon. I Irene M. Doyle, B.S. '30, M.S. '31, is to be head of the catalog department at Vanderbilt University at Nashville, Tennessee, 1937-38. She has a i partial leave of absence from the Library School of George Peabody College for Teachers and will continue part-time teaching in the college. Lenna A. Guthrie, B.S. '30, resigned her position as head of the circuli tion department, Oregon State College Library, Corvallis, Oregon, to marry Dr. Walter Hall, on the staff of the University of Kentucky 1936-37. The wedding took place June 24, 1937. I Gretchen Knieff, B.S. '30, for three years librarian of Siskiyou CountyLibrary, California, has just been appointed librarian of Kern County to succeed John D. Henderson who has gone to the State Library of California to be field representative. Kern County is the third largest county library in California only exceeded by Los Angeles and Fresno counties. For several years after leaving the Library School she was on the staff of the Los Angeles County Library and went from there to Siskiyou. Her . many friends among the Southern California librarians and elsewhere rejoice that her splendid work has been recognized by this promotion. Ruby H. Mauch, B.S. '30, resigned her position as librarian of the Hyde County Library, Highmore, South Dakota, to become assistant librarian of the School of Mines Library, Rapid City, South Dakota, x, Wave Lynn Noggle, B.S. '30, M.S. '33, resigned his position in the Exchange Division of the University of Illinois Library at Urbana, to become librarian of the Virginia Junior College Library, Virginia, Minnesota. . Ruth Rothenberger, B.S. '30, has resigned her position in the University of Illinois Library and will spend some time at her home 3320 Ruckle btreet, Indianapolis, Indiana recuperating from an attack of bronchial pneumonia which she had during the summer. Raymond H Shove, B.S. '30, M.A. '36, resigned his position in the order department of the University of Illinois Library to become head of the order and accessions department of the University of Minnesota Library, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
