OHIO VALLEY CATALOGERS

Mvrne Moffitt, librarian of the U. S. Veterans Hospital at Lexington Kentucky, writes that on April 8th the Ohio Valley Catalogers met in Lex ington. There were about sixty present and Illinois was well represented Mrs. Verna Pate from the Indianapolis Public Library was one of the speakers.

OKLAHOMA LIBRARY ASSOCIATION

Mrs. Maude Cowan, assistant librarian of the Southeastern Teachers College, Durant, was elected vice president of the Association for 1933, at the meeting held at Tulsa in February. Grace E. Herrick, assistant professor of Library Science at the University of Oklahoma, talked on "Cataloging problems of the small library/' James J. Hill, assistant librarian of the University of Oklahoma, was appointed chairman of the Committee on Public Documents; he is also chairman of the Oklahoma Educational Association Library Section. Frances M. Kennedy, reference librarian of the Public Library of Oklahoma City, was elected secretary-treasurer for 1933. She also gave a paper on ''Government documents for the small library; Information file ij and Subscription Books Bulletin. Lyndal Swofford, librarian of Central States Teachers College, at Edmond, was President of the Association.

SOUTHWESTERN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION

Vera Snook, librarian of the Public library at Little Rock, Arkansas, was elected secretary of the Association for the year 1933. Charles Flack, librarian of the Southwestern Louisiana Institute, was elected as one of the vice presidents for 1933. Lois F. Shortess, state supervisor of school libraries for Louisiana, was elected as treasurer for 1933.

TEXAS LIBRARY ASSOCIATION

Octavia Rogan, librarian of the Texas Masonic Grand Lodge at Waco, has been appointed a member of the standing legislative committee of the Association. She is also a member of the Handbook committee and of the County law amendment committee.

VIRGINIA LIBRARY ASSOCIATION

Thomas P. Ayer, librarian of the Public Library of Richmond was elected to the Council of the Association at the November meeting of the
