ALUMNI GOSSIP Margaret Mann, '9Z-96, professor of Library Science at th Unitersity of Michigan, has a leave of absence this semester and is spending he time in Europe. , , Gertrude Forstall, 94- 95, has changed from librarian, Victory Cororation, 231 South LaSalle Street, Chicago, Illinois, to librarian Chris* opher House Library, 2507 Greenview Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Linda M. Clatworthy, B.L.S. 1900, librarian of Denver University tied of a heart attack on the 23rd of January, 1933, partly as a result pf injuries and shock suffered when she was struck by a hit-and-run piotorist a few weeks earlier. Miss Clatworthy had been librarian of khe University for 12 years. During that time she was chiefly responsible por the library's growth from a small institution to the present beautiful new Mary Reed Library which was dedicated last fall. She was known o thousands of students and alumni who found her extensive knowledge jof history and literature helpful to them. I She was born in Dayton, Ohio, and educated at Denison University, Vassar College, Northwestern University, and received her B.L.S. from the University of Illinois Library School in 1900. She also received he Master's degree at Denver University. She was very fond of the indoors and spent a good deal of time with her brother, Fred A. Clatworthy, a nationally known photographer at Estes Park. She was living with her mother, Mrs. Emma Clatworthy, at 2055 S. Columbine Stret Denver. Miss Clatworthy was a past president of the Colorado Library Association, organizer of the Dayton Art Museum, member of the National Council of the National Economic Association, and a member of Delta Delta Delta and Pi Gamma Mu sororities. . Helen K. Starr, B.L.S. '04, librarian of the James J. Hill Reference Library, spoke at the Fiftieth Anniversary Celebration of the S t Paul Public Library, October 3-17, 1932. Josie B.
