Notice of intention not to renew the lease for any of such periods would have to be given the University by the city at least six months in advance, and notice of intention to renew for any of said periods would have to be given the city by the University at least sixty days in advance of the termination of the preceding period. The University will also have the right to terminate this lease at any time upon six months' written notice to the city of its intention to so terminate it. b . Drill Hall. One year from July I, 1955, with provisions for extensions for periods of one year each thereafter until June 30, 1959. Notice of intention not to renew this lease for any of said annual periods would have to be given the University by the city six months in advance, and notice of intention to renew the lease for any such annual period would be required to be given the city by the University at least sixty days in advance of the termination of the preceding period. The University will also have the right to terminate this lease at any time upon giving the city six months' written notice of its intention to so terminate it. c. Other conditions of the leases are to be the same as at present. Since the increase is effective only for 1954-1955, expenditures for this rental will be increased by $45,250 during the biennium 1953-1955. The increase will be met by budgeting one-half of it in each year of the biennium, the total to be paid during the second year. A further budget increase of an equivalent amount would be necessary beginning July I, 1955, to provide for the increase on a biennial basis. I recommend approval of these proposals and that the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board be authorized to conclude and execute the necessary contracts upon approval by the Legal Counsel.
