LEASES FOR DISTRICT OFFICES OF THE DIVISION OF SERVICES FOR CRIPPLED C H I L D R E N (23) The Director of the Division of Services for Crippled Children and the Comptroller recommend that the University enter into leases for the quarters occupied by the district offices of the Division in Chicago and Peoria, Illinois. The office in Chicago is in the State of Illinois Building, 160 North LaSalle Street. The proposed lease, identical with the lease which has been in effect during the past biennium, is for office space in that building at a total rental of $25,800, or $1,075 monthly for the period from July 1, 1953, through June 30, 1955. Various state agencies which use this building pay rental into a revolving fund maintained by the Department of Finance for the operational expenses of the building. The lease for the office in Peoria is for space in the Central National Bank and Trust Company Building at a rental of $6,480, or $270 monthly for the period from July 1, 1953, through June 30, 1955, and is on the same basis as the lease for the previous biennium. The Division of Services for Crippled Children has funds for the payment of the rentals. I concur and request that the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board be authorized to execute these leases. O n m o t i o n of M r .
