not all of the funds so budgeted will be needed this year. The funds were reassigned for needs in the Chicago Professional Colleges. More of the funds for the Research and Educational Hospitals may now be released for other uses at the Chicago Professional Colleges. The Provost and the Comptroller recommend additional reassignments as follows: Automotive equipment for Physical Plant Department $ 22 500 Food Service equipment for Physical Plant Department 4 500 To apply on construction and equipment costs of the Men's Residence Hall in Chicago • 200 000 Total $227 000 I recommend that the budget be amended by the reassignments listed above and that the Comptroller be authorized to make the necessary adjustments.

On motion of Mr. Nickell, this reassignment of funds was approved and the requested authority was given by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Bissell, Mr. Grange, Mr. Herrick, Mr. Hickman, Mrs. Holt, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Livingston, Mr. Nickell, Mrs. Watkins; no, none; absent, Mr. Megran, Mr. Stratton.

REVISION OF STUDENT FEES AT THE CHICAGO PROFESSIONAL COLLEGES (11) The resolution adopted by the Board of Trustees in connection with the financing of housing projects at the Chicago Professional Colleges and the remodeling of the second unit of the Dentistry-Medicine-Pharmacy Building provides that a fee shall be charged all students for the use of the Dentistry-Medicine-Pharmacy Building. Accordingly, the following revision of fees is proposed. Present tuition charges ($8T resident and $300 nonresident a year) and the Chicago Illini Union Building service charge ($10.50 a year) will remain the same. Total fees are not increased. Two laboratory and service fees are combined into a building and laboratory service fee. Income from this fee will be used for the operation and maintenance of the Dentistry-Medicine-Pharmacy Building and for debt service on the revenue bonds.
