Office Appliance Operator J DEFINITION: Under direct supervision, to perform routine clerical work, and to operate business office machines. D U T I E S BY EXAMPLE: To operate business office machines such as adding, comptometer, and calculating, in making original computations, or in verifying computations already made; enter data on tabulation sheets from questionnaires or other records; do miscellaneous clerical work such as simple posting, arranging, filing, and checking written materials; perform related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduation; training in the operation of office machines as required preferable; minimum age sixteen. Radio Operator DEFINITION: Under the Chief Engineer of the Radio Station, to operate and to maintain radio broadcasting equipment. D U T I E S BY EXAMPLE: T O operate studio broadcasting equipment; set up and operate remote broadcast equipment; set up and operate tape and disc recording equipment; repair and maintain all such equipment. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduation; training and experience in construction and operation of radio broadcasting equipment; mechanical aptitude; reliability; good physical condition; ability to use good judgment; minimum age twenty-one. Power Plant Instrument Mechanic DEFINITION: Under the supervision of the Instrument and Efficiency Engineer, to perform duties requiring a high degree of skill in the installation, maintenance, repair and calibration of various power plant instruments. D U T I E S BY EXAMPLE: To repair and adjust indicating, recording, integrating, regulating, and control instruments such as pressure, flow and combustion meters, gauges, and control devices; disconnect inaccurate or damaged instruments and make suitable replacement; disassemble instruments, examine mechanism, clean parts, replace worn or broken parts, assemble instruments, and check them on testing apparatus; calibrate instruments to coincide with established standard; to conduct scheduled inspections of all instruments and make minor adjustments to those not functioning properly; store, repair and maintain in proper operating condition, special testing apparatus such as Orsats, potentiometers, pitot tubes, thermocouples, etc.; to control parts storeroom; to assist power plant mechanics as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High school education or equivalent; considerable experience and skill in the adjustment and maintenance of instruments; good physical condition; dependability; minimum age twenty. Food Service Supervisor DEFINITION: Under direction, to perform supervisory duties of a food service operation. D U T I E S BY EXAMPLE: To be in charge of a dining room; train and supervise dining room and kitchen employees; assist in the planning of menus; assist in food preparation; supervise serving of food; arrange work schedules; assist in planning and serving banquets and special functions; be responsible for the general appearance and operation of a dining room; perform related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduation; university graduation in home economics, or experience in quantity food service preferable; minimum age twenty. Creamery Operator DEFINITION: Under direct supervision, to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities involved in the operation of a creamery. D U T I E S BY EXAMPLE: T O perform the actual duties necessary t o maintain creamery equipment in sanitary and good operating condition; operate the refrigeration plant; as directed, to make butter, cheese, and ice cream, pasteurize milk and cream, bottle milk, and keep appropriate plant records of these operations; operate equipment used in making standard tests of dairy products; operate and make indicated changes in adjustment or arrangement of special items of equipment employed in research studies; perform related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: University graduation, with major in dairy technology preferred; educational qualifications may be offset by experience in dairy manufacturing substituted year for year up to a maximum of four years; minimum of two years of experience in the manufacture of dairy products during which there has been
