CHANGES I N PROVISIONS FOR DEATH BENEFITS A N D DISABILITY A N D RETIRING ALLOWANCES (34) On May 19, 1950 (Minutes, page 1131), the Board of Trustees adopted a resolution amending its previous actions relating t o provisions for death benefits and disability and retiring allowances. These amendments were based upon recommendations from the University of Illinois Committee on the Retirement System. T h e Committee overlooked one point and now wishes to recommend that P a r a graph 2 of the resolution of May 19, 1950, be amended t o read (new language is in italics): 2. Rights to benefits of present employees, excepting those who have entered the Federal Civil Service Retirement System, thus relinquishing the right to participate in the University Retirement System of Illinois, originally employed prior
