The Committee on Accountancy recommends t h a t t h e certificate of Certified Public Accountant be awarded, under Section 5 of t h e Accountancy Act of 1943, to t h e following candidates who have presented evidence t h a t they are holders of valid and unrevoked Certified Public Accountant certificates obtained by passing a standard written examination in another state or territory of the United States and who qualify in all other respects under this provision of the law:

DEPARTMENT O F OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

(4) T h e Dean of t h e College of Medicine and t h e Vice-President in charge of t h e Chicago Professional Colleges recommend that t h e work in occupational therapy now in t h e Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation be set up as a separate Department of Occupational Therapy. I concur.

On motion of Mrs. Watkins, this recommendation was approved.

RESIDENCE A N D CREDIT REQUIREMENTS FOR A SECOND MASTER'S DEGREE (5) The University Senate has approved for presentation t o t h e Board of Trustees the establishment of t h e following minimum residence and credit requirements for a second master's degree recommended b y the Graduate College: A graduate student who holds a master's degree from t h e University of Illinois or from another accredited institution and who desires t o become a candidate for a second master's degree from the University of Illinois in a different field, must meet these requirements: 1. Two semesters or t h e equivalent in residence a t t h e University of Illinois. 2. Satisfactory completion of a t least six units of work beyond those submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the first master's degree, of which four must be in the major field. By petition, two units in t h e minor or major which were completed in partial fulfillment of t h e requirements for t h e first master's degree may be accepted. Students who obtained the first master's degree a t an institution other than the University of Illinois must establish credit in these two units b y direct examination. I concur.

On motion of Mr. McLaughlin, these requirements were approved, as recommended.

REVISED UNDERGRADUATE CURRICULA I N THE COLLEGE O F COMMERCE AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (6) The University Senate has approved for presentation t o t h e Board of Trustees recommendations from the faculty of the College of Commerce and Business Administration for revisions of undergraduate curricula in t h e following fields of concentration:
