QUALIFICATIONS: Grade school graduation; high school graduation desirable; good physical condition; extensive experience and training in maintenance and operation of power house equipment; ability to think and act quickly in a n emergency; dependability; good judgment; minimum age twenty-five. Engineer, Recording

SALARY R A N G E : $275-400.

DEFINITION: Under administrative supervision, to be responsible for the operation of the recording service of the radio station, and related work involved in the maintenance and repair of recording equipment, including disc, tape, and wire equipment. D U T I E S BY DEFINITION: T O supervise and do recordings on disc, tape, and wire recording equipment; have knowledge of technical operations of equipment involved in recording and speech-input equipment required for recordings so that it works properly; repair recording equipment of any type; test recording equipment as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: College or technical school training, or equivalent, with special training in radio engineering; practical experience in operating recording equipment; knowledge of standards generally accepted by broadcasting industry in matters relating to instantaneous recordings; good judgment and ability t o deal harmoniously with the faculty and staff; minimum age twenty-one. SALARY R A N G E : $300-450.

DEFINITION: Under supervision, to make routine estimates of maintenance and repair costs. DUTIES BY EXAMPLE: T o compute labor, material, equipment, and installation costs; compile lists of materials needed by the Physical Plant Department; compute unit costs; assist in surveying and drafting; estimate cost of repair jobs; perform related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: University graduation from a recognized college of engineering and four years of experience in a recognized contractor's or engineer's office preparing estimates or supervising work; in lieu of University degree, substitution of experience in responsible charge of construction work may be made year for year up to a maximum of four years; minimum age twenty-six. SALARY R A N G E : Prevailing.

DEFINITION: Under direct supervision, serves food to customers from steam tables, counters, and soda fountains. DUTIES BY EXAMPLE: Prepares food for serving, involving such operations as obtaining and placing pans of food on steam tables, cutting pies and placing them on individual plates, arranging salads, placing such items as rolls, cold plate lunches, and desserts on counter, filling coffee urns, making toast, and preparing sandwiches; serves meat, potatoes, gravy, vegetables; fills coffee cups; ladles soups; scoops ice cream, serves soft drinks; and does similar work at steam tables, counters, and soda fountains, depending on particular assignment; cleans counters, steam tables, equipment, and general work area; occasionally receives payment from customers and gives information on price of items; does related work a s assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Grade school graduation; ability to pass food handler's examination; cleanliness; good physical condition; willingness to work a s directed; minimum age eighteen.
