DUTIES BY EXAMPLE: T o write job tickets, learn to prepare copy and layouts, learn to approve press proofs, assist in preparation of offset jobs, meet and work with persons requesting services from the University Press, and perform related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS; High school graduate, college graduate preferred, print shop experience, some ability to typewrite, clerical aptitude, aptitude for attention to details, good personality, and ability to work with people; minimum age twenty-one. Autographer, Music Extension

SALARY R A N G E : $300-450.

DEFINITION: Under the Dean of University Extension and the Director of Music Extension, to be responsible for the mechanical phases of production and distribution of Music Extension materials. DUTIES BY EXAMPLE: Confer with authors; design releases; set up and maintain mailing lists; supervise distribution of mailings; carry out approved editorial policies; prepare and edit copy; determine processes of production; set up and maintain photographic and other visual aids files; perform administrative and supervisory duties as directed. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of mailing, drafting, printing processes, copy fitting and layout, typography, engraving, copyreading, and musical score reading; completion of professional courses in printing and publishing and/or at least two years successful experience in a responsible position in the music publication field; high degree of musical technique and musicianship; initiative; administrative and supervisory ability; minimum age twenty-one. SALARY R A N G E : $175-250.

DEFINITION: T O be responsible for and to supervise files in a Medical Record Department. DUTIES BY EXAMPLE: T o supervise the uses of the patient medical records; sorting, coding, inserting of added material; accurate pulling and filing of medical records; prompt delivery to clinics; dependable out-guide system; furnishing m a terial for research; assigning and supervising the work of assistants; perform related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduation, with college graduation desirable; at least five years experience in filing some of which should have been in a college or university; tact, supervisory ability, knowledge of personnel problems; knowledge of medical record procedures; minimum age twenty-five. Custodian, Night

SALARY R A N G E : Prevailing.

DEFINITION: Under supervision to act as night caretaker of buildings and grounds at the President's residence. DUTIES BY EXAMPLE: Act as receptionist for night deliveries and telephone calls in absence of regular staff; make periodic check of operation of household heating, ventilation, and utility services and report need of maintenance and/or repair; assist domestic staff in moving furniture, rugs, mattresses, packing cases, and other heavy objects; be responsible for general security of the house and possessions; perform related general utility duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Elementary school education; sufficient experience in a position of trust to establish acceptable character references as to honesty, trustworthiness, and discretion; agreeable disposition, courteous, neat appearance, and good physical condition; minimum age twenty-five. DEFINITION: Under direction to operate and maintain equipment in Aeromedical and Physical Environment Laboratory Building and assist with construction of experimental apparatus. DUTIES BY EXAMPLE: Operate power and hand tools; maintain and operate vacuum pumps and refrigeration units; operate low pressure and constant temperature chambers; construct experimental equipment; assist in experiments; perform related duties as assigned.
