Corn Products Refining Company, $1,000 in support of research on phytates under the direction of Professor J. C. Bailar, Jr. of the Department of Chemistry during the academic year 1946-1947. 14. P a n American Petroleum and Transport Company, New York City, $1,265 for the establishment of a research fellowship in Chemical Engineering under the direction of Professor H . F . Johnstone. 15. Anonymous donor, $7,500 to pay the salary of a Professor of Audiology and Director of Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation in the Department of Otolaryngology, College of Medicine. 16. The Nutrition Foundation, Inc., New York City, $2,400 for the continuation of the research work by Professor F. R. Velsicol Corporation, Chicago, $800 additional for the purpose of employing a part-time research assistant beginning with the fall semester, 1946-1947, and continuing through a ten-month period. T h e original grant was $3,000 for comparative physiological and toxicological studies of several chlorinated hydrocarbons. 19. Sharp and Dohme, Inc., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, $1,500 for research in sulfamerazine to be conducted in the Department of Veterinary Pathology and Hygiene, College of Veterinary Medicine, and in Veterinary Research in the Agricultural Experiment Station. 20. Standard Oil Company of Indiana, $3,000 for the establishment of a fellowship in Civil Engineering for a period of two years. 21. Eastman Kodak Company, $750 in support of a postgraduate fellowship (for work on a master's degree) in Mechanical Engineering beginning with the second semester, 1946-1947. 22. Galvin Manufacturing Corporation, Chicago, $750 for the establishment of a fellowship in radio and television engineering research in the Department of Electrical Engineering. 23. The Burdick Corporation, Milton, Wisconsin, $500 in support of research on physical fitness by Professor T. K. Cureton in the School of Physical Education. 24. Mr. F. B.
