APPOINTMENT TO BOARD OF EXAMINERS IN ACCOUNTANCY (5) On nomination of the Committee on Accountancy, I recommend the appointment of Mr. Ralph S. Johns, 141 West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago 4, Illinois, Resident Partner in Chicago of the firm of Haskins and Sells, to the Board of Examiners in Accountancy for a period of three years beginning July 1, 1956, to replace Mr. C. APPOINTMENTS TO THE FACULTY (6) The following new appointments to the faculty of the rank of Assistant Professor and above, and involving tenure, have been approved since the previous meeting of the Board of Trustees. 1. FRANCIS DART, Research Associate Professor of Physics, on one-half time, for nine months beginning September 16, 1956, at a salary of $4,000 (E50). 2. EDWIN H . GAYLORD, JR., Professor of Civil Engineering, beginning September 1, 1956, at an annual salary of $10,500 ( A ) . 3. GEORGE GERBNER, Assistant Professor in the School of Journalism and Communications and in the Institute of Communications Research, beginning September 1, 1956, at an annual salary of $7,200 ( D Y ) . 4. JOHN B. GOLDSBOROUGH, Medical Adviser and Assistant Professor of Hygiene in the Health Service, beginning August I, 1956, at an annual salary of $9,000 ( B Y ) . 5. CHARLES L.
